Very Nice Chicken!  Hard to believe the leg temperature was 181° and the breast 174° and the bird just as moist and tender as it can be.  Sorry about the one photo with the wing in it, a coyote got to the bird before I could get it into the kitchen for the 1st photo... Pig 1

Frogmat came today, thank you Mike...Fits well on the unit.  This pit is not designed as a warm smoker, and fluxuating temperatures in Smoke Mode and all, I think it made very good jerky!

One observation I want to make regarding cooking and ash content.  There is not a lot left in the pit, I cant explain it, I have vacuumed a couple of times, but that was more to remove gunk then ash.

What I will note is due to the fire pot being at the very center and bottom of the unit, the little bit of ash that does not get blown out by the fan at the end, needs to either be vaced out or, if you simlpy will brush off to the side of pot with a finger, pellets hit glow rod and unit starts right up and that ash blows out during cook.  Just wanted to point that out since I have been cooking on it.

What to say about the Wood Master by Northwest Manufacturing, Inc

A well made pit.  From Craftsmanship to performance, very stable temperature control.  A very simple to operate, extremely efficient to operate pellet unit.  And if you plan to own the unit for 20-30 years like I do, the savings in operating cost can be extreme as well!

It is a design and configuration like none we have tested so far.  From the comments I have seen in this section and others throughout the site, I believe there is a perception that the pit is not as large as others tested.  That is an unfortunate perception, it is approximately 395 Sq.In. of cooking surface and unlike many of the pits tested, has no hot spots on the grills outer area meaning all of the cooking area is vieable.

The end user has a wide array of finishes, including a virtually infinite amount of personalized designs that could be used for the buyers pleasure.  I feature that no other Pellet unit offers.

Cooking, the real test of any pit.  The pit performed well in all aspects, Smoking, BBQing and grilling.  Each a different and distinct feature to pellet cooking and this unit performs very well at all three.

Easy to assemble, extremely mobile, and very pleasant to the eye.  Anyone who purchases this pit would be happy with its style, ease of use and cooking performance.

A few things I might change…Due to the configuration of the pit, the grease has to be drained directly under the unit.  This in itself is not a problem, as a bracket is used to hold a can.  I thought when cooking a large greasy cook it might not hold all the grease, but it proved worthy of the task.  I would still like to see the bracket removed and a hook placed on the grease nipple so a bucket could be hung.  Grill, someone moving over from a Weber or other type circular grill will have no problem adapting.  The user who is used to that rectangular configuration seems to have an issue with it.

In conclusion, I believe this Pellet unit performed above and beyond expectations, its ability to bake was phenomenal, it performed well in the warm smoke capacity doing jerky and you all bore witness to its ability to Smoke/BBQ/Grill at the highest levels of Performance!

Again, we at Pelletheads.com want to extend our warmest and sincerest Thank You to Todd, Jeff and all the folks at Wood Master for allowing us to Performance Test their fine Pellet Grill!  It added to All Pelletheads knowledge and allows them to make informed decisions on choices in the Future.  I hope you will all stay connected to the Site and will keep us posted on the Units advancements as they occur.

As a Pellethead, I would be proud to own this Pit!
